The key thing is that Obama is angry, and he’s talking not in his normal voice but in a “black dialect.” This strikes at the core of Obama’s entire political identity: a soft-spoken, reasonable African-American with a Kansas accent. From the moment he stepped onto the national stage, Obama’s deepest political fear was being seen as a “traditional” black politician, one who was demanding redistribution from white America on behalf of his fellow African-Americans.

I wouldn't say racist. If you see something racist in those ads... you see racism everywhere, and you're part of the problem.
ReplyDeleteI see the RNC ads as a lie by omission.
One commenter suggested that the taxpayers (top 10%) built the infrastructure - by doing so, they're discounting the people on the ground who actually dug the trenches and poured the cement.
We really are all in this together. We (all Americans) should start acting like it - and I think most people "on the ground" are doing just that.
