There are a thousand hacking at the branches

The inherent flaw in capitalism is the unequal distribution of benefits. The inherent flaw in socialism is the equal distribution of misery

Winston Churchill

This is always a tricky subject, and can provoke a raft of tirades from both sides.  I noted the article not because it bashes the current administration, but because the story fits a view of socialism that I hadn’t considered. I also realized that I am pretty numb to the whole debate.  It surprised me.

After reading the post, I was struck at how much socialism is embraced, yet how little many know about the impact of the philosophy.  The debate over the health care bill had the conservative/liberal trademarks.  The real undercurrent is the right of the individual versus society.  And who makes the choice.

I also realized the objectives of the Roman Catholic Church and Socialism are similar except for the concept of God.  In one life is sacred, in the other there is no God and life is not sacred.

An excerpt from the article:

Steven Mosher of the Population Research Institute, is the only living American witness to this forced abortion policy.  Mosher was one of the first social scientists allowed to do research in China since the founding of the People's Republic in 1949.

Living in rural Guangdong in 1980, Mosher viewed (and documented) the killing huts -- the huts where nine-month-pregnant women were forced to go in order to have poison injected into their wombs.  The women had to wait in these huts 24 hours or until the poison forced the baby out.

If the baby was alive, it was placed in a pail of boiling water.  Others were placed in an airtight jar.  One particularly zealous doctor, Dr. Yin, induced premature labor.  When the baby crowned, he would inject pure formaldehyde through the fontanel directly into the babies' brain.  Other babies inconveniently born alive were tossed into a pile, where they cried for many hours before finally taking their last breaths.

…China practiced varying methods of abortion and prevention to find the the most efficient way to destroy these unwanted babies.  And they were successful.  It has been estimated that 1.7 million female babies "went missing" every year, through abortion and/or murder by parents who needed a boy to take care of them in their old age.

…As President Obama wined and dined China's President Hu Jintao last week, former Tiananmen Square student leader Chai Ling pointed out that "[a]s we gather here in Washington, over 35,000 forced and coerced abortions are taking place today in China."

Obama told the American people that there has been "evolution" in human rights in China over the last three decades, saying China is willing to have a dialogue on the issue on the basis of mutual respect and non-interference into China's internal affairs.

 American Thinker

The article finished noting the decline in America.  You may not agree with the points made in the article, but it does raise issues.  Obama is in favor of science over ideology. “The real debate, however, has never been about whether ethics are needed in science, but rather over whose ethics.” It should be noted that Obama's Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, John Holdren, has suggested compulsory abortion.  http://washingtonexaminer.com/

I am amazed at how depressing politics really is, and how difficult life can be.

I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born.

  1. Well that was an uplifting article. My response would be Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Life is extremely cheap in this world. Although the shooting in Arizona is sad, I wish the medial would give the same coverage to the veterans. Oh well, back to work.

    Thanks fish.
