The right of the people to be secure in their persons

From Today’s Drudge Report

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. (Away from the airport!)  You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go.
Theodor Seuss Geisel

Opt Out of a Body Scan? Then Brace Yourself.  Another wonderful day at the airport for this little girl…

Maybe she didn’t get the TSA guide before traveling…

If you click on the picture above it will show the picture on a TSA computer in Indianapolis.  Starting to get scary…

  1. TSA new search requirements are the very definition of "unreasonable search"

I've been through one full-body scan, and dreaded going through them last week - luckily they were only being used "randomly", and I wasn't selected.

I'm seriously considering taking the train or driving to my next destination. No matter how long it takes.

I'd like to know how any parent can explain to their 4 yr-old (girl or boy) that having their privates touched by a stranger is "ok" !!?!!?

  2. Couldn't agree more. Having Government thugs molest children? The new rules don't protect us from terrorism. I'm ready for the train. I will no longer fly! Just not looking forward to 15 hour drives.

You can fight this and completely avoid frustration. Just say: “No!” Just say no to the TSA and to the airlines

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

  3. Personally, I love the train. I'd rather take a long a train ride, then fly the cattle car.

Brad, here's a biz idea: lease a couple of small planes, and hire some pilots. Setup some standard flights, and run a charter service....from Amtrak hub to Amtrak hub; so people can take rail where ever the charters don't go.

I think this could get started for under $20MM startup capital...anyone got that handy?

  4. Love the train/charter idea... I bet Warren Buffet would fund that in a heartbeat!

  5. Another great (not) story... guy with a colestomy bag got the pat down... TSA agent broke the seal on the bag and ended up emptying the contents onto the traveler.

My question - what medical training do these screeners get? how could it EVER be adequate?
