If you think your teacher is tough

If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure.

Bill Gates

“ASSHOLE!” That was what Jeff Skilling, the boss of Enron, called an investor who challenged his rosy account of his firm’s financial health. Other bosses usually give less obvious clues that they are lying. Happily, a new study reveals what those clues are.

Economist: How to tell when your boss is lying

A boss creates fear, a leader confidence. A boss fixes blame, a leader corrects mistakes. A boss knows all, a leader asks questions. A boss makes work drudgery, a leader makes it interesting.

  1. Lying,

Having told senior VP's a Bechtel that their plan of action was full of S__t, i proceeded with a capacity test that resulted in a 99.9%. I made some tough choices that fulfilled the requirement. The result was a huge lawsuit between Bechtel and FP&L. What I got was fired but I did get good nights sleep. When confornted with survival and the truth, I choose the correct direction.

  2. Jobs are over-rated. A Good Night's Sleep is priceless.

Funny... I sleep better since I quit my 'real job'.

Wish there were more people like SP in the world!
