Symptom of a vacuum

Health care, bailouts, immigration.  I’m almost sick of hearing about it.  To use a Maine saying “Oh  my freaking word!”

In the background, what about China, debt, trade balances, value of the dollar?  What is the story on NAFTA?  Do we really care?  Do you remember the “giant sucking sound” quote from Ross Perot?

What’s the reality?

The big push for free trade started with the Bush 41 administration and accelerated under the Clinton administration.  Bush 43 supported it as well.

It’s worth a look to see what the net effect is.  The report (see link below) is 56 pages but, it is important to understand the effects.  Where are we really headed?  Who pays in the end?  How does this impact current expenditures and planned governmental expenditures?

Well, what do you think?

The spread of evil is the symptom of a vacuum. whenever evil wins, it is only by default: by the moral failure of those who evade the fact that there can be no compromise on basic principles
