    But, if there's a free clinic for emergencies, why would a 'healthy' young adult even consider paying $100/month for something they don't think they'll ever need (i.e. "it will never happen to me" syndrome)?

    We could always make it a law - like auto insurance - but there are plenty of uninsured drivers out there still, too.
