Dan, You didn’t tell us…

Dann Lewis finds tourism job in Nev.
Nevada has hired a new tourism director that is a familiar face in Maine.

The governor of Nevada yesterday named Dann Lewis as its new tourism chief, according to the Las Vegas Sun. Lewis is Maine's former tourism director who was forced out of the position by Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner John Richardson in January 2007 after 12 years on the job. Lewis had become a somewhat controversial figure in Maine after a public tiff with Searsmont critic and blogger Lance Dutson, who reported on his blog that Lewis' wife had a vanity license plate that said "ILOVENY."

  1. OK, so it's not ok to have a vanity plate but it is ok to give the state's tourism ad campaign to an out of state ad agency?

  2. Dan, when did you decide you needed a second "n" in your first name?
