fail big. try harder. fail again

cathy thomas-grant's philosophy of life (From Facebook)

Forget the widely unloved redesign. Facebook has committed a greater offense. According to an new study by doctoral candidate Aryn Karpinski of Ohio State University and her co-author Adam Duberstein of Ohio Dominican University, college students who use the 200 million–member social network have significantly lower grade-point averages (GPAs) than those who do not.

Facebook = 3.0 - 3.5
Non-Facebook = 3.5 - 4.0

  1. So... Where are the 2.0 students?

    Most classes are on a curve (or used to be), so there really should be some 2.0 students out there somewhere.

  2. We wouldn't want to affct their sense of self-esteem with a 2.0. As long as they have the cash for tuition, that is. (in jest).

    Note: Catholic high school teachers have no compunction about handing out 2.0's. And cell phones are not allowed in school. Facebook, not so much...
